Little man is definitely one of a kind!
He's the only one in the house who cries a lot. (That's not true - Zephyr also cries a lot. Grammy has nicknamed Zephyr "the cry baby.") He is the only one under the age of 9 (this is true - two cats are 10 and two are 9 years old), haha I was trying to be funny here!
It is becoming increasingly difficult to take these weekly/monthly pictures - the wiggle worm is VERY wiggly lately. He wants to
touch eat the blocks and the blanket; he wants to roll over to his belly. For this picture, I had to recruit his Daddy for assistance in getting him to stay still and look at the camera (and Daddy has a knack for getting Gabe to smile while I get my phone's camera to focus correctly.
- Baby led weaning continues... I stopped documenting new foods, since Gabriel is tending to eat pretty much everything and hasn't had any reactions to anything (knock on wood!).

- At The Milc Room (breastfeeding support group), Gabe had a "date" with Irina (an older woman! - by about 1 month, haha!). Julia & I hope to have another play date soon. Gabe is supposed to teach Irina how to roll over well (and eat more!) while she is supposed to show him how to clap.

- I repurposed one of our old bookshelves to hold Gabe's plethora of books. (In addition to the wonderful books I got for my baby showers, Mommy has a problem turning down a book purchase! There must be some book collectors anonymous meeting out there, right?) The bookshelf used to be that ugly brown fake wood veneer, so I painted it white to fit in better with the room. I can't believe it's already almost full! (And I am still looking at more books!)
- Father's Day came and went pretty uneventfully. We had family nap time for a few hours in the afternoon. I had wanted to get some Father-Son pictures, but the weather decided to be rainy and gross. Gabe got Daddy a nice card and a new coffee mug in honor of his awesome Daddy-ness.
- We did some kiddie pool playing this week to combat the ugly heat & humidity. Gabe loves the water, just like his Mommy! (Thanks Kathy for the bath toys in the last two pictures!)
- Gabriel also had his first experience with the big pool at Uncle Clark & Auntie Julie's house. I started out with him in a mesh wrap (so nice for hot weather & for swimming!) and then once he got comfortable, I just held him. He did REALLY well with kicking in the water - must be all the practice in the bath tub!
