52 Weeks Already!

Well, we've officially hit 52 weeks!  Tomorrow is Gabe's 1st birthday.

Here's a video of Gabe walking with his push toy.  And one of him stacking his blocks all on his own (I was eavesdropping!).

Now that Gabe's a year, I've decided we will drop down to nursing only first thing in the morning and right before bed.  He can use up my large frozen stash of breast milk during the day, for as long as it lasts.  Not nursing during the day is bittersweet for me - I will miss the quiet intimate moments but it will allow me not to have to drop everything to nurse him on demand.  Thankfully, he drinks out of various cups really well, so this shouldn't be a problem.

Other updates include moving to size 3 diapers and size 6-9mo clothing, plus a new tooth on the top (that makes a total of 6!).  He still hates getting up first thing in the morning but is a happy guy once he opens his eyes.
It took the flash of the camera to wake him up!
The newest tooth has arrived!

Here's a video of the little man complaining about being strapped to his chair.

This week marked the anniversary of our hospital adventure last year.  I realized I never posted our birth story, so I will have to do that soon.  At least then it will be documented if Gabe ever wants to look back on it (not particularly sure I want to, haha!).

Gabe has been really good at identifying things already!  He knows what socks are and that they go on his feet.  He'll even put lay the sock over his foot when I ask!  But of course, he didn't want to in this video, haha!

For Halloween at the end of the week, we dressed up our little pumpkin as just that, a little pumpkin!  Daddy wanted to give candy out this year (it might be his last one at home and not out trick-or-treating!), so Mommy took Gabriel to three of our neighbors' houses to show off his outfit.  I think he was really puzzled as to why we were outside in the dark!

This is our son's last night as a less-than-one-year old!
