It's also going to be a fun weekend in our house - my mother and my best friend Kristen are staying overnight before the shower. So, we'll actually be tied up for girls (Mom, Kristen, Venus, & I) & boys (Craig, Chip, Apollo, & Zephyr), if we include the cats. The baby would be the tie-breaker, but we won't know who won until October, haha!
Speaking of cats, our 4 no-longer-so-little ones are somewhat confused as to why there are stacks of boxes of baby items in the 2nd bedroom that they can't play with yet. Of course, they are taking delight in climbing and lying on TOP of the boxes while they can! They have taken over the glider (covered with a spare sheet to contain the cat hair, thankfully!) as a new sleeping place, but that won't last long because the door is going to start staying closed once we put the crib, etc together in the beginning of October. And speaking of putting things together, Craig "allowed" us to put the travel lite pack 'n' play together the other day! (Thank you to my Aunt Lisa & cousin Melissa for their generous gift!) Finally SOMETHING is put together! I think the only reason he agreed was because it could be refolded and put away, but it turns out that it fit into our spare closet while in the open position. I covered it with another spare sheet, since he thought it might get dusty. The best news, besides it being really cute, is that it will fit right next to our bed perfectly for the 6 weeks or so that we have company staying here in the baby's room and function as a bassinet. Here's a picture of this one item (well, besides the closet) that is finally set up!
